Finally some good news!

One week after canceling all their fall championships, the Division II Administrative Committee decided that DII sports will resume their normal recruiting calendars starting September 1st.

I will be the first to admit that I was not expecting this, especially after Division I extended their Dead Period. 

This is a very big deal for Division II schools and PSA’s (Prospective Student Athletes). What this means is that DII coaches are able to resume their normal recruiting activities, and with most of the conferences not playing this fall, it gives the coaches much needed time to catch up on the past 6 months of recruiting.

In Division II, the Management Council and Presidents Council will meet Aug. 20 and Aug. 21, respectively, to take action to comply with the Board of Governors directives. The Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will provide feedback before the Management Council and Presidents Council meetings.
