The simple answer is: The Athlete needs their own email address. But, let’s dive into why
College Coaches want to contact the Athlete. As parents, you may be very nice, but the players is who they want to speak with. When a showcase program comes out and, as a college coach, we see: JohnSmith@boeing.com. They know that is the not player’s email and many college coaches skip reaching out to the player.
As a parent, if you would like to be involved with the recruitment process, which I highly recommend, create a joint, soccer specific email. IE: joshtylersoccer2020@gmail.com.
It says the name of the player and graduation year.
I understand this may seem like a minor detail, but the minor details matter when you are trying to stand out in front of a college coach.
